TDM Global Line 2019 makes your shopfloor smart

The 2019 release of TDM Global Line is a power package. The software for networked tool data management now includes almost all of the functions from TDM and so much more. In particular, it scores points thanks to its absolutely flexible configurability – and, of course, thanks to the central database for tools and items.

Do you have several locations whose shopfloors are not networked to each other? Then you are losing many opportunities for synergies. With the central tool database from TDM Global Line 2019, you can network all of your production facilities. The central installation, the simple configurability and the global use of a common tool database saves IT costs and increases productivity right across the company. The benefits of this can be enjoyed by new and existing customers, large corporations, as well as small and medium-sized companies.

Processes on the shopfloor are decisive

In addition to the central database for your tools and items, one additional success factor for efficient and smart production is the workflow in the production itself. With the TDM Shopfloor Manager for Global Line, we are providing you with a powerful tool. The 2019 version sees a significant increase in functionality. The workflow management therefore now comprises booking functions and a large number of interfaces to different crib systems, presetting devices and machines. In addition, thanks to additional interfaces, MES, FMS and ERP systems can be smoothly integrated and customer projects can be included with an API. Additional advantages of the module: You can create multiple shopfloor configurations for different production areas and can be flexible with the allocation of cost centers. The individual status management also makes it possible to define the tool status in the Shopfloor Manager itself.

Cutting edge with TDM WebCatalog

Do you want to find tool data quickly and use it directly in your tool data management? In the new catalogs in the cloud, the TDM WebCatalog, you can find the right tool in just a few minutes and can further process it directly in TDM Global Line 2019 or adapt it to suit your needs using extensive graphics functions. Tool-specific CAD functions help to improve 2D and 3D data; with just a few clicks, 2D drawings can be converted into 3D rotation geometries, and vice versa.

Wireless communication of the systems

The capacity of the digital components and systems to communicate is indispensable when it comes to smart production. With TDM Global Line 2019, this is no problem – the software is a communications professional: 18 quality-checked and maintained CAM interfaces (to all common CAM and simulation programs) ensure that the data from the tool management can be forwarded on to other systems. To ensure that the target programs also understand this, the TDM conformity checker checks the data. It detects missing parameters and actively reports this to the user who can then add these.

Everything has its place

To ensure that the processes and communication run smoothly on the shopfloor, transparency and overview are important. TDM Global Line 2019 supports you in maintaining order so that you do not lose sight of anything: With the new TDM Production Document Management, you can assign all important documents to an article and manage them jointly with the tool data – by simply using drag & drop.

And where are the physical tool assemblies and items? The planning and crib dashboard provides information about this. Keeping things in order really pays off: You spend less time searching, and tooling costs and tool-related machine downtimes are drastically reduced – meaning that the software purchase often pays for itself within just one year.
