TDM integrates data and processes - everything in flow

A consistent Tool Lifecycle Management system makes tool data and graphics available in the planning and manufacturing systems of a metal cutting company. TDM integrates these systems, allows data to flow and enables optimal processes. Tool data can make a big difference – if it reaches the right systems at the right time.

Interfaces

CAD / CAM / Simulation Systems
The interfaces to CAD/CAM and simulation systems offer particular advantages for your processes. TDM is integrated directly into the systems, meaning that complete tool data, 2D and 3D tool graphics are available for the requirements of the planning systems. Tools can be created in TDM with multiple feeds and speeds data records. Tools are selected according to various criteria, tool data records are loaded directly into the CAM library and the NC programs are simulated using physically mapped, simulation-compatible 3D tool graphics. Improve your processes by using tool data in your planning workflows. Find out more
MES Systems
Comprehensive, detailed planning of all production resources only works with verified tool data. Your MES system manages data of all production resources – except for data of the production equipment, which can ultimately make the difference. The TDM/MES system interface enables accurate planning and preparation of the production orders. Knowing which tools are available, which tools actually have to be prepared and when it makes sense to start setting up an order – connecting your MES system to TDM is the only way to achieve this. FMS Systems
TDM is capable of supporting various production planning philosophies. Flexible production planning requires that tool management ensure both availability of the measured actual tool data and the removal and preparation of the calculated tools. TDM supports these processes and enables nearly 100% utilization of the machines. Find out more
Machine Tools
Tool-specific data directly from the machine application has the potential to continuously and efficiently improve the planning and manufacturing process over the long-term. The information from the magazine can be effectively used if the magazine is connected to a data feedback and evaluation control loop. We are consistently making the data usable for all areas with Tool Lifecycle Management. The resulting data is not the only data that is important. Tool data and NC programs are sent to the machines simultaneously with TDM. This enables production without losses due to machine downtime. We are working with experienced partners to realize our goal of standardized machine communication. Industrie 4.0 is becoming reality! Find out more
Presetting Systems
The interface TDM presetting systems supports the provision of nominal data and measuring program parameters for various presetting systems. The nominal data of the tools to be measured are available directly in the setting system. The measured actual data are transmitted to TDM again. Find out more
TDM Tool Crib Module
Integration Crib Systems / Intelligent Cabinets
Automated storage equipment is an important part of a space-saving crib system system with high avail-ability and secure access to the stored articles. TDM offers a variety of options for controlling crib systems. The prerequisite for this is the interface from TDM to the automated crib systems. The interface transmits commands from TDM to the crib system, thus enabling the imple-mentation of transparent, order-oriented tool provisioning. Find out more
ERP Systems
TDM does not only optimize production equipment logistics on the shopfloor level, but also ensures seamless procurement processes through integration into ERP systems. The integration forwards procurement requests or purchase orders from TDM directly to the ERP system. This makes it possible to order production equipment in a timely manner and ensure cost-effective procurement management. An ERP connection also supports processes in production planning: Customer/production orders are transferred to TDM and ensure order-oriented, just-in-time provision of the tools to the machine.
